An o2 sensor solved the same problem for me in a Dodge Durango so I'm hoping it will in this truck also

HI there

It's possible if the sensor is causing a fuel trim issue. If the fuel trim is to rich or to lean it can cause the engine to misfire. You would need a scan tool that can read the live data as well as the fuel trims in order to determine if it is the issue and which sensor is causing the issue. You could also have a problem with the mass air flow sensor.
