I really just want to be sure that the shop installed my new starter correctly because my car never had any issues until they changed out this part. the shop said the needed to also replace my emission tube yet my car had no issues that I was aware of I really think the shop did damage and want an honest educated opinion on this all shops in my area same to say the are bmw certified yet I seem to keep shelling out money for this car and not be getting anywhere also need my battery coded to my car which they cant do I tried inpa but it seems to not connect have done many installs like this but I keep getting error code #95 or # 28 I have a e90 and cant for the life of me understand why there is no connection.

thank you my names eli and if fixable without costing me an arm and leg id love to know how.

In order to do the starter the intake comes out, and your code 95 and 28 those are emission related, as for the battery being coded that if you change the battery , so leave that alone.  If the battery was not change and you code it , you will damage the battery. Here what  probably  happened, the battery has to be disconnected , when you disconnect the battery the ECM or the DME  reset the monitors again it  look for failed components , it found the evap being faulty. This year make and model all have evap related problem , the car built by robot so there is a problem trait that is all inherit with the vehicle. In my belief when BMW mysterious catch fire it probable the evap system
