It sometimes will not drive, while in drive, and will not go in reverse while in reverse. The car always starts without any hesitation, and never rev's. The RPM's always stay within normal range, also. There are NO warning lights illuminated on the dash pertaining to the engine, or the transmission to let me know there is a problem, but I obviously know there is. It all started when I came to a complete stop at a light, went to press on gas a little, nothing happened, so I pressed a little harder, and the car moved very slowly, almost had the pedal floored, and was only doing 50mph.. pulled into a parking lot, turned car off, then back on, then car seemed fine, but it's not. So, this is where my lovely question comes in. Now, this question is being asked by a girl who really doesn't know much about cars, or engines.. so PLEASE go easy! LOL..  Thaanx.
I REALLY, REALLY HOPE THIS STUFF IS FIXABLE, AND EASY AT THAT.. I JUST BOUGHT THIS CAR 2 MONTHS AGO..

P0731 Ist gear ratio error

P0811 excessive clutch slippage

Automatic transmission, there is no quick fix for this , you need another transmission or have what you have rebuilt.

Hey Reynaldo, thaanx for answering me.. NOT the answer I was hoping for, but it's an answer. However, I did forget to mention a couple things, the car only does this when it reaches temperature, and my old man said it drives fine when the transmission fluid is cold.. When it reaches temp, it throws itself into limp mode.. So maybe an ECU, Transmission fluid temperature sensor, or a shift solnoid? I just wanna try and save this transmission, and my pocket. Lol..

Hopefully you have this symptom dealing with the transmission fluid temperature if it falsely detects a high transmission fluid temperature the transmission will shift into neutral. and the gear selector level position  on the dash will flash and a DEPRESS BRAKE PEDAL indicator will come on. But the issue is nothing on the dash gave you any warning. The only thing that can be done is have a scan tool that can read the temperature of the transmission data to determine if the transmission temperature sensor is at fault. VW Recalled the transmission temperature sensor so you can have that checked without cost use this TSB # Recall 09V333000 titled Temperature Sensor Defect. Hopefully it is faulty there would be no cost .

Yes Reynaldo, I , too find it VERY STRANGE there's NO DASH LIGHTS illuminated to let me know ANYTHING.. BIG ISSUE!!! And yeah, I heard about the recalled sensors, so I put my vin number in on the VW website recall section to see if my car had any, and it didn't show for sensor, it only showed for brakes. I'm not sure if they'd put the recalled sensors on the site, or if I have to call, and find out. But, I definitely will look into it! And then, HOPEFULLY, that'll be the problem!!! I bought this car for $4,300 at 110,000 miles. I do have to admit, she does sound GREAT when she's running, it's just when she reaches that ever so dreaded temp.. UUUGH!!! I'm so sorry to be a such a HUGE bother.. I'm just trying to find out what's going on with my car.. Do you think that could be the problem? The temp sensor? Or, do you think the car is just forever doomed? NOOOOOOOO!!! Lol.

Do the Recall, remember it does not have to turn on the dash light at all, VW does have to check it , the ABS is recent, you  have to talk to someone that the only way bring up the TSB number and tell them you do not feel comfortable with there product and say your concern about your safety , that is the truth this problem is considered a safety issue. How ever you pulled these code these are generic codes, VW will have there code reader so it may come up different, give yourself that chance if the service writer you talk to is blunt about this issue ask to talk to someone above that person, its there product they have to inspect it and they have to honor there Recall.

Okay, I will do the recall, and let you know what happens. But, in the meantime, I may be a BIGGER pain in the butt, (lol) and have a few more questions for you, as my old man will be trying to work on my car, and I'm a nervous wreck over here.. Thank you "SO MUCH" for answering every question, and being "VERY" prompt, at that.. Now, I'm just "REALLY, REALLY HOPING" there is a recall, and then my car will be FIXED!!! Thaanx, Sweety.

No, NO VW can challenge it talk to some one , look up the TSB number

Okay, so I looked up the TSB number, and OMG! The list is loooooong!!! And, for the Transmission fluid temperature sensor, which would be the Power Train Control Module/Automatic transmission dates manufactured between Sept. 2008- Aug. 2009, my car was manufactured in Aug. 2008.. Go figure! One month difference! Just my luck! Now, my old man was reading something online about resetting the accelerator by turning the key on, let it sit for a few minutes so it can reset itself? He seems to think it fixed it, by updating the system? I have no idea..

Hey Reynaldo, so I just drove my car for about a half hour(letting it reach temperature) after Ray (my old man) lol, "SUPPOSEDLY" reset the system? And, guess what? It didn't do any of the stuff I had previously mentioned it was doing.. Hmmmm (scratching my head!) Is that possible for a VW to "RESET" itself when you do the key thing? Then he said the car is going to be calibrating itself for a few hundred miles, and supposedly has to learn MY driving habits? Idk.. Sorry to bother you again..... Hope to hear from you soon!

It almost as though there in no transmission failure plus the mileage you have this is a young for your car, this would be sensor nothing else, the main problem with VW is the way it communicates a generic scan tool it gives a generic code description and that it, when its a VAG (volkswagon ,audi, group ) it communicates and give almost the exact code that is causing the problem. I believe he is right I've seen thing like this many times where it act up , then completely disappears, You Definetly have  Angels watching and caring for you

Hey Reynaldo, Good Morning... Yeah, I TRULY, SINCERELY DO "HOPE" THERE ARE ANGEL'S WATCHING OVER ME!!! I drove it again yesterday, and is it normal to have like a lil tiny jerking when you're coming to a stop? Ray said I'm just being paranoid, and that the car is calibrating.. UUUUUGH!!! You'll have to excuse me, as I am a female, and most females careers aren't in automotive.. Lol. And plus, you seem like you know what you're talking about. Someone else had mentioned to me that maybe the ECM is misreading something somewhere? Idk.. And, I also drove the car in the "S" gear, Sport gear, and she went thru every gear real smoothly, with no problems.. It just feels like when I accelerate from a stop a lil bit, then come to a stop. Damn, I really wish I had the money to put her in the shop. But, for right now, she seems to be okay.. I'm just afraid of running the risk keep driving around to only make matters worse. A friend of mine is going to stop by tomorrow with a computer/scanner.. He said it's from his job, and it's real Hi-Tech, and it will pick up/read ANYTHING that's wrong.. But, that damn lil jerking has got me disheveled! Oh, and another question.. my airbag indicator light had came on the day before all this happened, and I had just installed a kicker box with an amp. Do you think those have anything to do with it? Powerwise? Because I think I remember reading somewhere that one of those codes may have something to do with power? Hope to hear from you soon. Thaanx again Reynaldo..

That little jerking, your also going to have a delay in acceleration. it will be slight, here what VW says about this, there is no repair required. The only thing they want done is to make sure that the oil is filled and that's it. and by the way do you know if they ever serviced the transmission, The reason I ask you is that you just bought the car. when ever I do a car buying inspection I always check for that and trust me I seen seller pull stunts on people from hiding head gasket problem and  all sort of things. I curious if the correct transmission fluid is used ,

Oh, okay. It's REALLY strange how cars work! Lol. And, I've been trying to get in touch with the previous owner to find out if the transmission has ever been serviced. The guy I originally bought the car from only had it for a month, and supposedly didn't want it anymore because his daughter didn't like the color.. So, I'm trying to get in touch with the guy he bought the car from, but I'm not having any such luck. I really wish he would respond. I've been asking him questions about the transmission, and if he's ever received any notifications about any recalls on the car. HOPEFULLY he'll respond soon! But, the next time I buy a vehicle, I can promise you this.. I'm bringing a code reader, AND a VERY SMART mechanic with me, like yourself.. Lol.

Your best way resolve this is enjoy your car, without a vehicle everything we do is tough, one less problem it simple enjoy that you have vehicle. when people enjoy what they have everything is easy, gratitude is magic, when we are grateful for what we have we don't lack, I'm sure your not going to have problem just be grateful and you overcome every obstacle in you way

Hey, good morning Reynaldo.. just wanted to let you  know you were right from the very start! My   transmission is SHOT!!! A good friend of mine  came over with his computer, and it was a really good scanner, too. It came back with... First gear ratio 1, 2, 4 and 5, as well as Torque converter lockup clutch mechanical malfunction-Intermittent.
Yep, she's DONE! But, I have options.. I think I'm gonna either have her rebuilt, or buy a used one.. The car itself is in GREAT shape, that's why I'm willing to put more money into her. What do you think on used or rebuilt?
