Error code:P0101 - Traction Control Being Maltriggered

Running the error code P0101 on '11 Nissan Sentra. Just got the car, and it runs well. I need to clean the air filter, but the code is triggering the 'service engine soon' light. About once a day (I'm assuming this is in correlation with the MAF) the traction control will turn on and I can't accelerate past either 1st or 2nd gear. When I try to accelerate past 40 or so, the car will kind of stutter and slow down. Can this issue be fixed by cleaning the air filter, or do I need a brand new MAF, or does this have to do with the MAF sensor? Any help is appreciated

Hi there,

If it's coding the maf sensor then it's likely going to need to have a new maf sensor installed. The sensor may have dirt or oil on it. I would take it out and look at it. If it's melted or has any burn marks on it, then replace it. If not, then clean it. This could be triggering the traction control to come on as well
