Would this be the same information for a 2000 Nissan Frontier with the 340 code?

P0340 is for the cam position sensor. This is part of the distributor on both the 4 and 6 cylinder engine. If the timing belt breaks on the 6 cylinder, you can get the cam sensor code.

Check to make sure the rotor is turning when you crank the engine.If not, replace the timing belt. If it is, then the distributor is the likely issue.
