I drive a Chrysler Sebring 05'. When I accelerate on the gas peddle it will make a loud pinging noise. And I've noticed that lately the gas mileage has really poor. I mean, it had always sucked, but it seems to have gotten worse. IDK if it's related, but it began around the same time as the pinging noise. Any suggestions would be really helpful

Pining noise, 2 area that will make a pinging noise, the fuel system is lean, the engine is running hotter than normal, and for this type of engine you would have to include low engine oil . The pinging  noise is very much related to fuel consumption. It would also be good to check for any code that is stored.

Check the radiator low fluid level will cause the engine to run hotter , and the check  engine oil level. .
