does code P0492 on bmw effect car long term other than at start up?

If it\'s not fixed, will it degrade the car? I know that it won\'t pass emissions with the code. I can I reset the obd and it pass emissions?

it can effect MPG (miles per gallon), engine performance, the engine will run too lean. It is differentially not good for the engine
