2004 Porsche Cayenne Turbo P0492 code

Question

P0492 code is diagnosed by my scan tool . We were planning a 500 mile trip to the snow. Should we leave it home and take another vehicle?

Yes you can drive this , there would not be any drivability that is noticed, what the secondary air injection is used for is cold start . where it pump extra air downstream to the catalytic convertor thus warming it up rapidly, When the catalytic convertor is at a suitable operating temperature it is able to control harmful emission that is emitted into the atmosphere. The secondary air is mostly turned on at a cold start usually lasting less than a minute.
