I am getting a p1417 code on a v6 engine, why?

Question

P1417 refers to an engine failure for a v8 motor going from 8 cylinder to 4 cylinder mode. Why would this code appear in a v6 equipped vehicle?

Software error you are correct this is only for a 5.7 . you may have to use another scan tool even with a good scan tool Chryslers are very slow to access the code for the CK ENG LT
