P0455 FORD - how do i fix

I have a 99 Ford Escort ZX2 Manual Shift

3 days ago my car started idling really low when cold. After it was warmed up it ran fine.

I was advised to check the Idle Control Air Valve. I was planning to do that this weekend but on my way to work this morning I got the check engine light. When I got home I plugged in the code reader and got two codes.

P0455 Evaporative Emission System Leak Detected (gross leak/no flow)

P0171 Bank 1 System too lean

I am guessing that these are related but I dont know for sure. I am hoping that fixing one or the other takes care of everything.

My question is is there an online manual anywhere that can show me where the parts related to the problem/errors are so I can check them? I have looked but all I can find are for a small fee sites.

These two codes are not related.

The lean fuel mixture code is usually a result of a leaking pcv valve hose on this particular model. It can also be the result of a faulty front O2 sensor or mass air flow sensor.

The Evap system gross leak is a problem with the evap system and not the engine system. Usually the problem with this is the gas cap or the vent control valve. If they are good, a smoke test has to be performed to locate the leak.
