Check engine light intermittent

GLK 350 Mercedes 2012. 57k miles all spark plugs replaced; also new coil pack. Is code locked by dealer?  How to turn off??

The CK ENG LT program is made for the catalytic convertor and the catalytic convertor is to protect the environment. When it comes to manufactuers and the OBD II system they must allow access to the check engine light using a generic scan tool , (provided that your scan tool is updated to read the OBD II communication protocol ) . You can use a manufacture grade scan tool or a generic scan tool that is updated to the vehicle specifications. You would need to retrieve the code that is set from there, The only other code that they can prevent  the owners from accessing is the maintance service light but then again there are aftermarket tools that allow you cancel the light. Dealer are not allowed to lock out owners from access the CK ENG LT. The CK ENG LT is not their program.
