PO447 2006 KIA SPECTRA CODE TROUBLE SHOOTING

Question

Trying to trouble shoot code, was told try replacing gas cap. Did and still running same code. So now debating on getting either a new vapor canister solenoid valve or other possibles??

The code is specific to the vent control valve. A simple test I have found for these is to remove them, then add power and ground to the valve. You should hear it clicking which indicates it's working. If it's working then you either have a wiring issue or a leak somewhere in the evap system. The vent control valves are a fairly common issue on most vehicles because of moisture and the fact that they don't move often, only during self tests.
