I believe my 2000 Ford Escort is throwing a P1025 because I have a 185 degree thermostat. I believe the temp sensor is reading the thermostat and throwing the code. How do I keep the thermostat and get rid of the check engine light?

Hi there

This could be the result of a bad ECT sensor and not the thermostat. I would replace the ECT.
