Service engine light is on. The code for it was p0456

Question

I had a diagnosed done for code at the auto shop. They said it was the fuel pump and I need a new fuel pump module that's causing the leak and the check engine light to come on. Is that really the problem for that my car is having that causing my engine light to come on?

P0456 Evaporative emission system (small leak detected)

Small evap leaks if the test reveals that the leak is at the fuel pump area, you need a fuel pump seal. To get to it you take out the fuel pump. You can just elect for just  the fuel pump seal. Sometimes it worth just replacing the whole unit , then having the fuel pump go out and having to do it again
