replaced cam sensor and check eng. light is still on why?

autozone code reader said the cam sensor was bad so i replace it and check eng. light is still on.

Hi there

More then likely this is because you used one of their sensors. You should use a dealer sensor and make sure that your wiring is good. Also make sure the connector is tight on the sensor. These are the most common causes of the problem not clearing once the sensor is replaced.

There is a recall for these sensors as well, so contact the dealer with your VIN to make sure they have been done.
