I have a 1997 Acura CL 3.0. My online research indicates that the P0171 code could be caused by a faulty oxygen sensor. Problem is, I don't know where bank 1 is on the car and I can't find a diagram showing where it is. Looking under the car there is a sensor on the passenger side, downstream of the cat and there is one on the driver's side, upstream of the cat.

HI there,
Bank 1 is the bank closest to the firewall. For this code you would want to try and replace sensor 1 on that bank. This is usually in the exhaust manifold or will be in the pipe before the catalytic converter. Just remember it's the first sensor on the firewall side of the engine.
