Code P0442 after replacing purge valve, engine will die and have trouble cranking. Any ideas?

I have replaced my purge valve but the Tahoe still dies at red lights and has trouble cranking as it does after refueling. Does anyone have any ideas on what to fix next? By the way the gas cap seal looks to be fine. Thanks for any help!

Hi there

It is possible the issue is with the purge solenoid. If the solenoid isn't working properly it could be open, this leaves the purge valve open and will allow it to flood after refueling. With the code you have if the solenoid is good, you will need to have a smoke test done to try and locate the source of the leak.
