I have a 2005 CRV with 96K miles that came up with P1009 code and the dealer called to say that they first need to do SW on PCM update ($242) then do engine flush ($241) and then if the code persists replace P-sensor ($475).  I am not convinced esp. after reading other notes here.  Am I being taken for a ride?  Is there a better fix?
