2008 Buick enclave how to change transmission filter

We drained transmission fluid and after three starts engine light went off. After a month the light just came back on. Want to drain again and change transmission filter. Hope this is the fix for it? If transmission needs to be rebuilt, we are not keeping it. What is your honest opinion?
