Shortly after it warms up when it gets to 60 mph the  car jerks and won't go any faster it  always starts when cold but doesn't want to idle  5  to10 min after starting and occasionally shuts down for half a second and tries to die

Your loosing the CAM and CKP signal, the reason it jerks is it lost the CAM signal. Beside driving,  does this engine easily start up and when warm does it have a hard time starting up? What happens is the Timing signal does not advance, Replace the ECM this should done as a hobby.
