I got a P0303 fault code, replaced the coil 0n #3. started got a Fault code of P0301. i replaced all coils, plugs, plug wires. now have a P0300 random miss fire. did a compression check 3 times, pulling each plug, one at a time and testing that cylinder, below standard on cylinders 1 -4 , 5&6 are 170 - 180 psi. removed all plugs , re  checked compression, a 2nd & 3 rd time , again 1 - 4 are poor , less than 90 psi each. 5 & 6 still at 170-180 psi. timing belt has 222K on it. i need to recheck that both cam marks are at 0 and the main crank is at 0. it may be ahead .1 or .2 degrees. if it was ahead. would it cause the random miss fire. it is hard to start , will not idle . also this happened all of a sudden after getting gas. i did notice a two days before a loss of power and was using more gas than normal.  looking below i think it's a DLX, i't s TRD.

1 or 2 degree off, yes it can but you would have a loss of power on acceleration and the idle be low, and smooth, when there is a misfire there is a rough idle. and you would know due to the way it accelerates, This can be fuel related , where the fuel injector is not firing, especially when you noticed it after getting gas.  Compression test is great to do. but if there is a prolong misfire condition that cylinder lifter goes flat, so a compression can miss it, and when you do a compression test it How you got that number that matters. Your better off doing a running compression test, put the compression tester on the number 1 or 4 and run the engine, it should not be less than 65 psi.
