Why is my oil light coming on with a cylinder 2 misfire?

I have a 2004 Mazda 6 V6 and I'm told I have a cylinder 2 misfire but my oil light also keeps coming on. Why would that happen?

Oil light comes on during the misfire condition? If this misfire is just confined to ignition coil, or faulty sparkplug, this can be due to low oil condition, oil pressure sending unit wearing out,  But  If this misfire is a major situation where there is a engine knock, then its engine mechanical related and the oil pressure would be low. from internal  oil pressure loss. Not to jump to bad conclusion, when there is a misfire the RPM goes low not ony would oil pressure light come on there time charge light comes on.
