Will a p0455 code clear itself after gas cap is tightenend or replaced?

Question

I could smell gas then engine light came on. I checked system with scan tool (P0455 code) but it says evap test is complete, computer not ready. I tightened gas cap a little but not much, it got cold outside really quick that day. (maybe shrinkage caused this)  Will a P0455 code clear itself after gas cap tightened or replaced? Don't want to clear codes, it takes 500 to 600 miles to ready the computer and I have an inspection coming in a few weeks.

Yes, if the problem was caused by the fuel, cap, The EVAP monitor should run when the fuel tank is 3/4 to 1/4. If there is no fault detected the CK ENG LT should turn off
