2000 dodge ram 1500 showing code p1389 asd relay but will crank and run but not charging battery

Showing code p1389 but relay is good, it will crank up and run as long as battery has volts the alt is not charging so soon as bat is drained it stalls and dies.

This would be a separate problem from  the ASD code P1389 would set when the battery voltage is at 10 volts, It set because your not charging, The charging system alternator may just be what the vehicle needs

Took the alt off and had it tested it passed, also hooked it up to another pickup the same as mine and was charging at 13.4 volts, is the volt regulator in the pcm or on the alt? And also the transmission will not go into overdrive, like it's stuck in 3rd gear
