Would soldering a y pipe on the exhaust system cause the problem.

Had the "y" pipe replaced and it was soldered on. Can this cause the problem. P0430 code?

HI there,

If it was welded to close to the catalytic converter it can cause a problem with the converter. However other things can cause the code P0430 to appear as well. A bad rear O2 sensor, bad converter, exhaust leaks can all cause the converter failure code to appear.

As for the other code, P0345 is for the bank 2 cam position sensor.
