why would a shop get this code & then tell customer that nothing is wrong?

Question

My brakes went out.  engine died.  trouble getting it to start again.  then no steering power.  steering wheel all but locked.  then had trouble getting motor to stop.   Service dept ran diagnostic check.  got codes poa90 & poab9.  then reported to me that there was nothing wrong with my vehicle.  They reset the engine light.
