So I am stumped. Have a 2001 Acura MDX that crapped out a few months ago. Replaced fuel pump and it ran fine. Crapped out again, re-soldered the main relay and it cranked but had surging idle. Replaced the IACV bc I found one for 30 bucks. Now the car cranks but won't start.

The jumping idle happened a few times every now and then before the fuel pump incident, but always went away and never tripped CEL. Now I have a no start condition and code p1519: IACV circuit malfunction. However, the wires seem ok, and I am getting a light when I test with circuit light checker (getting light when I touch led to middle prong in connector which is the yellow and black wire).

Another variable is the first time I put on the new IACV I Had the gasket crooked and caused coolant to spew out of it. Removed, replaced gasket and added some gasket glue and reinstalled.

Can anyone help with this? What might it be? I can't find a replacement wire harness either.

Is it a possibility that p1519'could be something else? Thanks in advance.

P1519 IAC circuit valve malfunction

The IAC is not going to cause a no start condition, it just will not maintain a target idle, P1519 you have a poor connection somehow,
