2003 CRV developed idle surge, at 1000 to 1400 rpm about one cycle per second. Malfunction indicator light is ON, and OBD returns p1519 fault code.  I'm prepared to replace Idle Air Control Valve but wanted some confirmation that I' on the right track before tearing into this repair.  THANKS!

HI there

I would first check for vacuum leaks. Sometimes you will get this code when the computer can't stabilize the idle. This can be the result of a vacuum leak or bad mass air flow sensor. These will cause the idle to surge and set the code.
