My 2008 Eddie Bauer explorer 4.0 won't start and when it does it stays on a few minutes then dies or it will die as soon as I turn it on

A bad ECM that create a  no you will  need to test the ignition system as the engine is starting, if control side of the ignition coil  is going to battery voltage instead of ground , you can be sure you have a ECM problem, You should also use a scan tool and look at the cranking RPM you should be 250 RPM in order for ignition to occur, The overall best way to determine the no start is to check the alarm system. using a factory level scan tool
