I have a 2007 chevy tahoe, I am getting a engine power reduced fault, stable link fault, rough idle, will not go over 30mph. When I pull codes it shows 5v refrence. My oil Guage fluctuates between 20 and 40 lbs. For the firs time ever the truck shut itself down today and would not start back up until I turned switch off and left it off for 10-15 min then it started up with only check engine fault and drove fine. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

You 5 volts reference is short to ground, because the oil gauge is reading wrong start with the engine oil pressure sensor , Here a diagram that has the Sensor that are connected to the 5 volts reference, In a many cases it is the EOP (Engine oil pressure) sensor the reason the check engine light does not have to come on and the code for the EOP only pends and it is largely ignored until a drivabilty appears
