I have replaced, Plugs, wires, cap and rotor. Then #2 injector when still sputtering and pinging while accelerating. Ran better but not on idle. checked vacuum leaks. Comes up with P1351 code and other codes indicating lean mixture. Any thoughts? Has 103,000 miles

P1351 IDM input circuit malfunction / Ignition coil control circuit high voltage

The IDM for Ford is Ignition diagnostic monitor , There are 3 componenet that can cause this code condition, Because the engine idles great , but pings on accleration , the first area you need to check for is a missing spout, which is used for timing check and sometimes not put back in place. and this will cause the pinging when acclerating,

Here is a Ford this connection here is suppose to have the inline spout, check for a missing spout.

Here is another most probable cause for P1351 this is the Hall-Effect sensor which is commonly referred to as the camshaft sensor. To replace this item just replace the distributor as a whole unit. which should include the ICM (ignition control module)
