What could be the cause for a "misfire in a #2 cylinder"?

When I hook it up to the computer it says that I have a misfire in cylinder 2. What could cause this?

There can be several reasons for a misfire to appear. The best is just a worn out spark plug. It can also be a problem with the coil, the fuel injector, a internal engine issue or a problem with a leaking intake manifold gasket. All of these items has to be eliminated
