car starts and has no power to drive

Question

Driving my car, stop for 10 minutes with engine off. Start back up, and car runs poorly, next day, car starts, but has no power to propel itself down the road. No water in the oil, and the heater works great. Engine does not over heat. what is wrong with my car?

Plugged exhaust system would surely rob the engine of power , it will also make the the engine run rough,
