I have a 2001 Honda Civic EX 1.7L, Presents codes P1298, P0138, P0420. I replaced the ELD but sometimes still turn on the check engine with the same p1298, then off alone.

Hi there,

Since replacing the ELD didn't solve the issue, it's likely a wiring problem. Here is some more info regarding this code.

The P1298 error code in a 2000 Honda Civic typically indicates an issue with the "Electric Load Detector Circuit High Voltage." Replacing the Electronic Load Detector Unit is necessary to repair the problem.
