P0101 code after replacing sensor

Question

I replaced the mass air flow sensor a year ago and again I am getting the same code. could it be a faulty sensor or something else?

Hi there,

It's usually a bad aftermarket mass air flow sensor. However, if the air filter is dirty it can also cause the sensor to burn out faster then normal. This is especially an issue with the aftermarket sensors, but can also occur with the factory sensor as well.
