Best answer

P0430 Catalytic below threshold Bank 2

Many times especially on a BMW the 02 sensor is at fault,

You have 2 02 sensor for one Bank 2 , This is Bank 2 , the first 02 sensor is the upstream 02 sensor and the last one after the catalytic is the downstream 02 sensor.

If the catalytic convertor is faulty the rear 02 sensor will read below 0.650 volts. That is if the front 02 sensor is in fuel control

This is a faulty rear 02 sensor , note the 02 voltage is below 0.650 volts.

Correct the 02 sensor is good with this reading so is the catalytic convertor, clear the code this may just been set when the thermostat was replaced, you should not code a catalytic code or 02 sensor code,

When the temperature sensor goes high and there is no overheating, this still affects the enginemanagement  you may even have a false P0430.
