vehicle not starting but just cranking

It started by losing power and passing out black smoke. Now it just crank
but the engine will not come to life. The diagnostic machine showed a strange code, just 085 there was no p or any other later just 085.
Vehicle: 2002 Nissan Caravan 3.0L
