Question

2008 Ford F150 5.4L with engine codes P0340, P0344, P0345, and P0349

I replaced both cramshaft sensor (from Ford) and both VCt (jobber).

On iddle run perfect, cold and hot engine.

With hot engine, if a have to stop, the engine run like a diesel, shake, amost stop and after the iddle come back perfect.

Before a stop, if i give more gaz fast, release gaz pedal, the rpm come down and the engine run perfect.

When it comes to the condition that you have, these gear tend to be the culprit,

If the engine shake when coming to a stop after stumping on the fuel pedal, check the cam cap for excessive wear, if the normal, you need to measure the oil pressure, This condition are seen after a cylinder head replacement and the problem is usually oil pressure related.
