I have a 2006 Nissan Altima that have been well maintained and had 37000 miles. The engine has a different sound, it has a problem starting, a problem staying running and the service engine sonn light is on. Autozone tested the car and it has a P0335 and P0725 failure code. I have no idea where to start looking and cannot afford to replace parts that will not fix the problem. Any help would be appreciated.

These codes are both for the cran position sensor. This will cause the car to start hard. The 335 code is for the crank sensor, and the 725 code is for the engine speed sensor. It's a transmission code, but the transmission module uses the crank sensor to watch the speed of the engine. Replace the crank sensor and it will resolve the codes and the problem with the hard start.

The crank sensor is located on the back of the engine where the transmission and engine bolt together.
