Jaguar X-Type 2.5Codes: 1642 & 1643

Question

Codes P1000, P1642, & P1643 are the codes. The transmission is stuck in high gear and cruise control is eliminated.  Can you tell me the problem so our mechanic can fix it?

P1642 CAN circuit malfunction

P1643 CAN ECM / TCM network malfunction

Even with these 2 code that shows, there should be other code that would be stored , either from the ECM module or the transmission control module, This way you can determine if the fault is with the ECM or the TCM .
