P0136 Nissan -

Question

1996 nissan pickup four cylinder engine check code p0136, 02 bank 1 sensor 2 and a second code p0141 as well.
I have had previous codes indicating a bad aft 02 sensor before and it always cleared after burning a tank or two of premium, not this time.

HI there,

In this case you need to replace the rear O2 sensor. Typically after time the O2 sensor heater element will burn out in these.

Also, check the wiring along the door sill plate driver side. If there is an issue there it will affect the rear O2 sensor.
