I have a 1997 Nissan Maxima. The check engine light came on for PO136 (O2 Sensor, Bank 1, Sensor 2), and I replaced it. However, the check engine light came back on for the same problem. Does anyone know why?

Usually replacing the sensor takes care of the problem. It's possible that the new sensor is bad or the sensor is not making good contact. You should start by double checking the the sensor connector.
