I have a 2003 Toyota Corolla that runs fine for a while, then will sputter on acceleration and occasionally feel like its died (drops to 1000 rpm until let off the gas). It is triggering code P1315. I have checked the compression which appears to be good (150 psi). Changed all the spark plugs which were very over due. Changed the coil on 4. Cleaned the fuel injectors. Replaced the fuel injector on 4. And still have the same problem. It runs great after resetting the codes for 6-10 miles then will hesitate and check engine light comes back on. At which point it will intermittently run rough during acceleration. Please help!

P1315 Igniter circuit malfunction  (No.4)

This code is in the ECM, It always the first diagnosis to check the resistance of the wire harness of the No. 4 ignition coil to ECM. These are always found to be inherit in the ECM.
