P1451 Mazda -

Question

Drove over 60 miles light stayed off before coming back on; change evap solenoid canister and gas cap what else could it be; any ideas. Mazda B2500 truck reading 1451 Code

The code is for the vent control valve on the charcoal canister. This is a common issue and usually a problem with the valve itself. Clearing the code and driving will not fix the problem. The 60 miles was likely just how long it took for the computer to run the self test on the evap system.
