2008 silverado code read of po523

Im driving to okla from new mexico, my truck engine lite came on and po523 was the code, is it safe to continue driving

First you need to check the oil level. If it's low on oil this code will appear and you shouldn't drive it until you fill it with oil. If the oil is full, then I would have the oil pressure tested before proceeding.
