02 Dodge Caravan has no reverse and will not roll back, do i need a new trans?

Question

vehicle will move forward but will not roll backwards. Drive seems to work when it wants but even then it only creeps. there is a whining noise in every gear except parti and nuetral.
these are the codes that came up
p0700, p0301, p0442, p0740, p0720, p0715, p0455, p0456
Any help is greatly appreciated.


UPDATE: I dropped the trans oil pan and sure enough there was some pretty nice sized shavings/chips. Got the tranny dropped, replacing tomorrow. Any important steps on the install??

That whining noise that internal mechanical problem with the transmission, the code are a result of internal mechanical failure of the transmission.
