code issues

Question

AT 35/45 mph.  1500/ 1800 rpms the car has a vibration or shake ..took to toyota they changed out torque converter..got the car back and it still does it but not as bad....told me to drive it for about 50 miles so it can reprogram itself..will driving it really reset it..??  Made them give me the codes   when they replaced the torque converter
