Volkswagen b6 strange fault.

Question

After i ran out of gas and bleed the system, the car died when letting of the throttle after accelerating. Then the esp light lighted up and so did the e-brake fault light and the engine light. Glow plug light began to flash. is very hard to restart afterwards but when you get it going it runs just fine, until you let of the throttle after accelerating and same thing happens. it does not die when you rev it in neutral.
The code i get is P0726.
