P0171 Volkswagen - 1.8t 2001model AWT

Hello,i have a vw passat 2001 model 1.8t AWT with error code p0171 I checked after air leaks..I found to small loses hoses and connected back to their places.now a notice a bigger fuel consumption but also a bigger torque.what should be the next step?

Hi there,

You can also get this code from a bad mass air flow sensor, low fuel pressure or a faulty front O2 sensor. Those would be next to check on the list. Time to time and exhaust leak will cause the code as well.
