Why does my focus just turn off?

Car just shuts down. One time on the freeway it kinda rocked similar to running out of fuel,when i got off the freeway the vehicle shut down.......had a p0420 code that went off with a pcv valve and hose replace. If i disconnect the battery and let it sit for a few the car will start drive around for a bit then just shut down

HI there,

Since you have the P0420 code, you should check the catalytic converter. Sometimes the light will go off even though there is damage to the inside of the converter. If its blocking the exhaust system it will cause the car to shut down, then once cool it can be driven for a bit again. I would look at the converter.
